Morelegaloptions

Welcome to Morelegaloptions!

In this section you will find all our features on lawyers who have left private practice and gone off to do something different within the law.

This edition's Moreinteresting feature:

Each feature tells you where they started and how they got where they are today.  The aim is to inform and entertain.  There is no better way to get a grip on what your options are than to read about the first-hand experiences of lawyers who have been through it. Equally, it’s nice just to be nosey.

We are interested in featuring lawyers from all walks of life, though we like to focus on lawyers doing something interesting or who have found a great work/life balance, as that is what Moretolaw is all about.

Previous Moreinteresting features:

Ex-Herbies lawyer finds cushy head of legal role (and shoes) (Eva Goodelife, 20/4/06)

Ex-Dentons lawyer has wild life (Niall Watson, 6/4/06)

Ex-A&O lawyer finds that charity pays off (Clare Bennett, 2/3/06)

There is a lot of information out there about private practice and major law firms in the City, but a lot less about what happens after you’ve been through the private practice treadmill.  Every major law firm operates under a pyramid structure, so only a handful of lawyers see it out to partnership.  The vast majority look for a different lifestyle and jump ship.  Where do they go?

Please get in touch if you know any lucky lawyers doing something more interesting......

(Note: this section is all about lawyers who have found something special within the legal world. You can read about lawyers who have escaped from the law altogether in our Morethanlaw section.)
